SORATI MATCHA-NUANG

Flight Tech Student & Long-haul Flight Attendant

Meet Sorati one of our students and an Air New Zealand Long-haul flight attendant who's based in Auckland.

"My reason for training and flying with flight tech is they are all friendly, like family, and the instructor experience base is very strong, "IF YOU GONNA DO IT, DO IT RIGHT " The cost is low and affordable."

BRODY JELLYMAN

Flight Tech Student & Firefighter

Meet Brody one of our students all the way from Pauanui in the Coromandel.

"The reasons why I chose Flight Tech is because of the quality instruction from the highly experienced instructors.

Learning to fly at New Plymouth is ideal, because it’s not a crowded and busy airspace so you spend more time in the air rather than waiting on the ground.

Everyone at Flight Tech has been so accommodating and willing to go the extra mile to help me achieve my Private Pilots license"

CHRIS HAYES

Flight Tech Student & Panel Beater

Meet Chris one of our students originating from Australia and now living locally.

"I fly with flight tech because; Initially, it was a Google search to go up for a trial flight, but at the trial flight,  I met several instructors and saw that they were super passionate about flying and sharing that knowledge with others just starting out like me. As I find myself a little further along the path to becoming a Private Pilot I can see that flying at New Plymouth airport has allowed me opportunities to practice elements that not every flight school can offer, such as Air Traffic Control communications, mountain flying and flying in many different conditions. Not to mention the amazing scenery."

MAX JORET

Flight Tech Student & Surgical Registrar

Meet Max one of our students who lives locally and works at the New Plymouth Hospital as a surgical registrar.

"I like flying with Flight Tech as they are a great organisation all around. Their instructors are all very approachable, knowledgeable and great teachers. From my first introductory flight to my first solo they have guided me and taught me the art and the science of flying in a way that was both safe and fun. Their location at New Plymouth airport enables you to practice in a controlled airspace that is not too busy and exposes you to the second-to-none scenery that the Taranaki region has to offer. I could not have wished for a better club to start flying."
